A pink round brilliant lab grown diamond in four claws on a band with a short block of white pavé on each shoulder, set a little away from the centre so that a gap of plain metal separates the colour from the sparkle. The gaps are the detail: they make the round look like a solitaire from a distance and a pavé ring up close. The band is plain around the back and the head sits low.

Pink is the gentlest of the fancy colours and the one that suits the most skin tones; this fancy intense pink is a clear rose rather than a pale blush, and it stays visibly pink in every light. Rose gold deepens it, white gold and platinum keep it crisp, and yellow gold turns it toward peach.

Choose the round from 1 to 10 carats; 1 ct is about 6.5 mm, 2 ct about 8.1 mm and 3 ct about 9.3 mm (every size in the Details and our size chart).
