Moissanite Bezel Engagement Rings

A bezel wraps the moissanite in a thin rim of metal instead of prongs. It protects the edge, has nothing to catch on clothing or hair, and gives a smooth, modern outline.

Full Bezel or Half Bezel?

A full bezel surrounds the whole stone for the smoothest, most protected setting. A half bezel covers two sides and leaves the other two open, so more light reaches the stone and more of its outline shows. Our half bezel 2 CT oval is an example.

Who a Bezel Suits

If you work with your hands, wear gloves often or dislike prongs catching on knits and hair, a bezel is the most practical choice. It also suits pointed shapes, because the rim protects the tips.

Does a Bezel Hide the Stone?

The rim covers a thin sliver of the edge, so a bezel-set stone can look a little smaller than the same stone in prongs. A thin bezel keeps that difference small. Compare the stone size in millimetres on each listing.

Common Questions

Is a bezel more secure than prongs?

Yes. The metal rim holds the whole edge, so there are no prongs to bend or snag.

Does a bezel make the stone look smaller?

Slightly, because the rim covers a thin sliver of the edge. A thin bezel keeps the difference small.

Can I see the stone from the side?

It depends on the design. Some of our bezels have an open gallery that lets light in from the side; the side photos on each listing show the profile.
