Asscher Cut Moissanite Engagement Rings

An Asscher cut is a square step cut with deeply cropped corners. Its concentric steps create a pattern of squares within squares that gives the stone a clean, art deco character.

What Makes an Asscher Different

Like an emerald cut, an Asscher is a step cut with broad, mirror-like facets. It is square, though, and its corners are clipped more deeply, which gives it an almost octagonal outline. Looking down into the stone, the steps form a pattern of squares within squares.

Settings

Four claws on the cropped corners keep the square outline crisp. Our Asscher designs include double claw solitaires, halos, hidden halo pave bands, half eternity bands and a chevron band. If you like geometric step cuts, we also make octagon and hexagon step cut rings.

Sparkle

An Asscher shows broad flashes of light rather than glitter. Its large open table makes the stone look clean and bright, so compare the width in millimetres on each listing.
