A green elongated oval lab grown diamond in four teardrop claws on a band whose shoulders are worked into a twisted rope: diagonal ridges of polished metal alternate with diagonal groups of three small white diamonds, so the band looks braided. The twist stops at the sides and the lower band is plain, and the oval sits on an open V basket above it. The texture of the rope gives the ring interest from every angle.

Green diamonds are so rare in nature that most jewellers have never handled one; lab growth makes the colour available, and this fancy intense green is a bright, clear green with none of the grey of a lesser stone. It looks cleanest in platinum and white gold and most luxurious against yellow gold.

Choose the oval from 1 to 10 carats; 1 ct is about 7.7 x 5.7 mm, 2 ct about 9.6 x 7.1 mm and 3 ct about 11 x 8.2 mm (every size in the Details and our size chart).
